FAQs

What is your training?

I completed my BA degree in Psychology from the University of Portland. Currently, I am completing my MA degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. My coursework has emphasized social justice and focused on various topics such as group counseling with adolescents, family therapy, and somatic/emotions-based therapeutic techniques.

What is the benefit of working with an mental health intern?

Working with an intern therapist like me means you’re getting someone who’s deeply engaged, passionate, and committed to walking alongside you in your journey. I bring fresh insights from my training and am supported by experienced supervisors, so you benefit from a thoughtful, team-based approach. As an intern therapist, I embrace collaboration and exploration within the therapeutic relationship and encourage clients to bring any ideas or interests into the session!

What is a therapy appointment like? What will we do?

Throughout our first few sessions, we will focus on getting to know each other and discussing goals for working together. I enjoy using creative, playful approaches in sessions to build our therapeutic relationship. This can look like creating art, playing, and using humor to build rapport. I encourage you to take ownership of the space and process, and I’m here to support you in a way that feels safe, empowering, and tailored to your needs.
